This year's Run Against Hunger is just two days away! The weather's looking mild and we're excited to take on the trail. Remember that clothing, shoes, and pantry donations for St. Francis of Assisi Kitchen can still be donated at the race (Sneaks, jackets, coats, and tuna fish are especially needed)!

Four miles, two pub stops, and one chainsaw later... that potion brought the SRC Pub Run back after nearly three years! It's sure good to be back! 🧙‍♀️

We’re one day away from our Halloween Pub Run!!

We’re one day away from our Halloween Pub Run!! We’ll be demoing the new lineup from @mizunorunningusa including the Wave Horizon 6, Wave Inspire 18 (both pictured here!), Wave Sky 6, and Wave Rider 26. You’ve got to be 21 years or older to attend and tickets are $20. All proceeds will benefit Allied Services and their team's (which includes our very own Sam!) fundraising for this year's New York City Marathon. Follow the link in our bio to signup!

We’re highlighting the two stability shoes Mizuno will have to demo during the Pub Run. Check out our sister store’s account @valleyrunningco to learn about the neutral shoes you can test out on Wednesday night!

The Wave Inspire 18 took all the best things from the 17, kept them, and improved some! The Inspire is a medium cushion stability shoe with a moderate amount of support. This update is lighter in weight than the previous version thanks in part to the new upper. The update sports a one-piece upper with a gusseted tongue which makes for a more accommodating fit. The 18 is made from sustainably sourced and bio-friendly materials! Yay for the planet!

The Wave Horizon 6 is the peak of Mizuno’s stability shoes- it offers both high cushion levels of support. It has a superstretch woven upper which allows for a softer feel while still providing structure. The different types of cushion in the sole are specifically placed to help guide overpronators to the lateral side of the shoe, where there is softer foam for the foot to land. Some of the outsole rubber is placed on the medial, or inside, part of the shoe to offer additional support and durability.

Our very own Greg Ahlswede will be competing for t

Our very own Greg Ahlswede will be competing for the USA in the The World Games 2022 Birmingham this week!! Greg, one of our SRC associates, is a member of the US Orienteering team and will be competing in the Sprint, Middle, and Sprint Relay distance races in Birmingham, Alabama.

We’ll be cheering him on while he’s running through Birmingham and Oak Mountain State Park! If you’d like to join our watch party, stop by the store Friday, 7/15 through Sunday, 7/17 to watch Greg and the rest of the US Orienteering team compete on the world stage! We’ll have an micro sprint course set up in store and you can try your hand at navigating through apparel and racing flats!

More details about our watch party and how to watch at home will be shared shortly!

A shoe that needs no introduction, the @brooksrunn

A shoe that needs no introduction, the @brooksrunning Glycerin (shown above) is turning 20 and now available in both its neutral and GTS (stability) options. In both versions Brooks has replaced the DNA Loft midsole foam with the DNA Loft V3, a lighter, poppier, nitrogen-infused midsole foam that's still as cushioned, but a bit more responsive than the midsole of previous models. It's also a half ounce lighter and features a wider fit than version 19!

This year's running camp will be geared towards aspiring runners from age 12-17 looking to build their base and speed, whether for cross country or other fall sports.
